Dear
Parishioners:
September is just around the
corner and, here at Ss Peter and Paul, this means Bazaar
time! Hopefully, you already have your calendar blocked
for September 24, 25 and 26.
Plans for the Bazaar are well
underway. Each year, this fun-filled event is the single
biggest fundraiser for the Church and it includes fun
activities for the whole family. Last year, this event
raised nearly $60,000 which was used to help cover the
Church’s operating costs. This year, our goal is to
raise $75,000. Only through your generous donation of
time, money and talent will this goal be met.
We need your help to make this
year’s Bazaar a resounding success. In order to be
successful, we are asking for support to underwrite the
cost of the Bazaar. A food adoption chart will be placed
in the Church Hall starting today. By adopting an item
on the chart, you are helping to defray the cost of that
particular food and therefore contributing to the
success of this important event.
Here is how it works:
-
Please review the adoption
chart, select the item(s) that most appeal(s) to you
and your family, and record your name on the chart.
-
Make your check payable to
Ss Peter and Paul Orthodox Church and give it to me,
Madelyn Nader, Nick Nahas or Mary Sahouri.
-
Write “Bazaar Donation” on
the memo line of your check so we can ensure your
donation is appropriately allocated.
Donors will be recognized
during the event. Gifts of every size are needed and
very much appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your
support of Ss Peter and Paul. If you have any questions,
or would like to volunteer, please call me at
301-949-1056.
See you at the Bazaar!

Dear Sisters and Brothers,

the remaining Kibbee balls. Your Blessed HELPING HANDS
are needed. Thursday, August 12th is cancelled to give
our ladies a rest.
Tuesday, August 17th and Thursday, August, 19th we are
preparing Spinach Pies. Please, make an exerted effort
to join us at 10:00 am. Please bring a dish to share.
We have completed two wonderful sessions of Kibbee this
